We follow the scheme of learning from 'Language Angels' to teach French to children in KS2. Language Angels is a broad, vibrant and ambitious foreign languages curriculum that inspires and excite our pupils using a wide variety of topics and themes.
Units are progressive and each lesson is planned to build on previous knowledge gradually as their foreign language lessons continue to retrieve, revise and consolidate previously learnt language whilst building on all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Grammar is integrated and taught discreetly throughout all appropriate units.
We want our pupils to have a genuine interest in learning a foreign language and develop a better understanding of other cultures and the world around them.
